What was announced

On 30 June 2026, Trezor described Suite Sync, a way to synchronize labels, account names and address notes between supported Suite clients. The announcement says data is encrypted locally, with encryption keys derived from the wallet backup through SLIP-21. Trezor provides a default storage service and describes a self-hosted option.

What synchronization does not mean

The feature concerns organizational metadata. It is not a replacement for the wallet backup, and synchronizing a label does not prove who owns the address attached to it. The announcement is a description of the vendor's design, not an independent assessment of every client or storage deployment.

A useful habit for wallet notes

Keep labels factual: distinguish a verified payment recipient from an address mentioned in an email or appearing in transaction history. Record when and how an important recipient was checked, rather than giving every familiar-looking entry a trusted name. Before changing storage arrangements, understand which data is synchronized and how it is recovered. A convenient cross-device address book is most useful when the information entered into it has been checked in the first place.
