Read the device and the request together

The form of a wallet cannot establish whether an action is safe. Check the application source, the meaning of a signing request and whether the information displayed by the device or app matches what you intended.

Question manufactured urgency

Verify messages about urgent device migration, account validation or compensation through official channels. Do not give recovery credentials to someone in a private message, or treat knowledge of your device model as proof of support authority.

Build a repeatable checking routine

Read the product’s current official instructions before using a new device or app. Keep control of backups and operation records rather than handing recovery information to another person. Product documentation defines compatibility and supported features.

Sources and reading notes

This article is an editorial explanation of risks and ways to verify information. It does not make a factual finding about a particular wallet or person. Product behavior and rules may change; check the original documentation.
